Plane Crash Kills Three in Tarrant County
Three men from Tarrant County—Kenneth I. Croft of Hurst Horby N Neugent 26 Bedford and Clyde C Samsill 30 Fort Worth—died when their single engine plane disintegrated in flight near Stellite. The craft left Tradewind Airport Amarillo at 1 30 p m heading to Greater Southwest Airport Fort Worth. Cause of mid air explosion at 2 50 p m seven miles southwest of here was undetermined. The four passenger plane crashed on Cecil Adams farm. Witness W B Davidson saw the explosion and feared the fuselage broke apart. two occupants were found later by motorists. Investigators found two seat belts buckled then torn loose. Authorities theorized the plane exploded in flight and passengers were ejected. Neugent and Samsill were identified.
