Yugoslav Partisans Launch All-Out Offensive Against Germans
Yugoslav forces led by Marshal Tito opened a broad offensive in the Vardar and Ibar valleys amid Allied pressure on Hitler’s Europe. Greek patriots harass four German divisions as Tito reports heavy German losses and Partisan casualties in Montenegro and southern Sanjak from April into May. Nearly 15,000 Moslems join the Yugoslav liberation army, forming two all-Moslem brigades and aiding guerrilla operations across Bosnia and Macedonia.
