Skelly Oil Co reports a dual Fusselman and Ellenburger gas discovery at No 110-18 University in Ward County 23 miles west of Monahans. Initial flow tests show 5.2 million and 12.07 million cubic feet per day from upper and lower Fusselman zones with a joint 21.2 million cubic feet per day test from Fusselman porosity. Potential pays in Permian Delaware sand and Wolfcamp fields also noted with offset wells and extensive permitting and development plans. Operators and partners include Cities Service, Gulf Oil, Allied Chemical, Lone Star, and David Fasken. Skelly holds 208 percent working interest in an 8,840-acre unit.
