Mortars and Rockets Hit U.S. Bases in Vietnam DMZ Clash

Communist mortars and rockets struck four American strongpoints along the DMZ in Vietnam before dawn. Supreme Feed Mill Fire Destroys Laton Plant

Firefighters battled a major blaze at Supreme Feed Mill Inc. in Laton, with winds driving flames through the metal structure. The site housed offices, equipment, and a stock of finished feeds. estimated loss around 250000 dollars, mostly insured. The cause was unknown as crews containment efforts continued. Fire destroys Sherman Texas Hotel and damages exceed a million

A fire at the ancient four story Texas Hotel in Sherman began around 6 30 p m and raged for more than three hours destroying nine downtown businesses and damaging others. Firefighters from Sherman Denison and Perrin Air Force Base responded as crowds gathered.
