Chamber to Buy Downtown Building for Move and Lease Plan
The Lubbock Chamber of Commerce will relocate to the First Federal building at 14th and Avenue K after contracting with the Dunlap Company. It will lease its current 902 Texas Ave facility to the Lubbock Urban Renewal Agency and later sell the Texas site to the city for the hall complex. The move targets November with remodeling needed. First Federal Savings and Loan moves to Dunlap’s former downtown corner at Avenue L and Broadway.
