416 Persons Taken In San Antonio Raids
San Antonio May 6 U P Texas liquor control board officers city and military police Navy shore patrol officers and Texas Rangers raided three downtown clubs early today arresting 416 persons in the first wholesale arrest of its kind here since prewar days. Charges of consuming intoxicating liquor after 1 am in violation of a state statute were filed against those arrested. Twenty six club operators and employes were charged with public nuisance and operation of open saloons.

Two Childress Boys Shot in Tragic Home Incident

Mr and Mrs Durwood Pickens and their two year old son from Spur were admitted to West Texas hospital after a truck struck the rear of their car Saturday night.
