Freeman predicts falling food prices for rest of 1966

Agriculture Secretary Orville Freeman told housewives that food prices will decline through the year due to higher farm production. He cautioned the lower prices may take time to reach shoppers as they pass through processors and retailers. Freeman noted farm prices are about 12 percent lower than in 1952 while other costs have risen.
