More Gas Available To B Book Holders
B bookholders may obtain gas online for 250 additional miles a month under an amendment effective Saturday. County war price and rationing bonds may grant 720 miles of occupational mileage a month under the new amendment. The previous limit was 470 miles. Insurance men merchants auditors real estate men and others qualifying for B mileage ration books are eligible for the addition.
Civilians At SPAFS Buy Bonds Heavily
Civilian workers at South Plains Army Flying School contributed to war bonds in April with an average of 21.87 percent of earnings. Payroll deductions totaled 7,870 dollars and cash purchases 7,098.75 dollars. A three week contest among civilian employees offered nine bonds as prizes for higher participation and bigger pay allotments.
