The Nixon administration announced a meat price ceiling covering beef pork and lamb aimed at cooling near record levels. Enforcement by IRS agents will begin with retailers posting ceiling prices by April 9 and consumers reporting violations to local IRS offices.
Las Vegas New Mexico bore a heavy spring storm with 22 to 26 inches of snow, plus 18 inches in Springer and14 inches elsewhere in Colfax County.
