Monsanto Chemical Co. reports gas flow from the Morrow zone at No 1 Foster wildcat about 20 miles northwest of Carlsbad in west Eddy County. The 9 160 770 ft section flowed to surface in 13 minutes at 118 30 cu ft daily rate, dropped to 29 000 cu ft and held for the hour test. Initial shutin pressure in one hour was 2 828 psi with final 90 minute pressure 129 psi. Recovery was 195 ft drilling mud. Location is 60 ft from north and west lines of Sec 5 20S 28E, one mile northeast of No 1 Dagger Draw operator.
