Three injuries occurred in Lubbock on Saturday across three crashes. Leonard E. Fitz Overbay of 423 Ave Q sustained arm injuries from a collision in the 1490 block of Ave G about 8 pm. Another man in the same car, Overbay, was uninjured. A Ford pickup was struck near a parked vehicle during the crash. Overbay was hospitalized. A. W. Hightower of Carlisle, 63, suffered three broken ribs in a collision at Sixteenth Street and Ave J around 9:30 pm. M. Beck of 2503 Ninth was driving south on Ave J when their cars collided. Beck’s car struck Hightower’s right side. Hightower was taken to West Texas Hospital. Police continued the investigation.
