Texas Christian University coed Jane Langdon, 21, was found slain in an abandoned Arizona mine tunnel five miles north of the city. Second Fatality In City In 1963 Traffic Toll
A second fatality in Lubbock this year pushed the 1963 South Plains traffic toll to 26, with thirty others injured in related crashes. A 6 year old boy Lowell Wayne Bell died in Muleshoe from injuries after a two car collision, while another driver died in the same mishap. Three other persons suffered minor injuries in traffic mishaps in Lubbock Sunday. A separate collision on 4th Street involved Perser, who was ticketed for negligent collision after striking a parked Mayflower Van.
