The weather in Lubbock and vicinity will be fair and warm with a high near 70 degrees. Tonight’s low around 42. Winds from the south and east at 15 to 20 mph.
Texas A&M meteorologist Dr Dennis M Driscoll argued against wind chill as a sole measure of cold. He noted wind and cold effects vary by age health and psychology and that WET based on Steadman’s formula cannot reflect individual perception.

Livestock deaths now exceed 86,000 with halos of power line and farm-buildings damage noted.
