West Virginia prison riot ends with hostage standoff

At the West Virginia Penitentiary in Moundsville an inmate was stabbed to death and two others wounded when prisoners seized five guards. About 200 inmates, some with homemade knives, were confined inside South Hall as officials said a core group planned to keep hostages overnight.
