Late Winter Storm Routs Plains Rockies Texas Damages

A late winter storm moved from the Northern Plains and Rockies into Texas causing damaging hail and tornados. Winds reached 40 to 50 mph over large areas with some homes and farm buildings destroyed. An Arctic air mass was forecast to arrive from Canada, bringing record lows toward dawn. Seven miners were killed in a separate incident near Santiago Chile in Marchihue district.
