U S Troops Return Fire In South Viet Nam Training
Defense Secretary McNamara said U S personnel in South Vietnam have fired back only in a few minor instances as they train with South Vietnamese forces. He noted most missions are conducted by South Vietnamese crews and that air cover is not needed beyond that provided by the South Vietnamese air force.
