A pair of Monday night robberies in Lubbock County and Abernathy trouble resident PHIL HAMILTON INDA WALKER. The Lot-A-Burger No 3 at 4204 W 19th St and Tower of Pizza at 2411 Main were robbed with similar strangers and gloves color noted. Mrs Walker recognized the man at Tower of Pizza, saying the assailant used the same manner and speech as the February holdup. Police pursue leads as the $100 plus loot and $45 to $60 taken in Abernathy are investigated.

Man Held In Earlier Job In Lakeys Cleaners Robbery
A 23 year old Lubbock man surrendered to police at noon Monday in the Lakey s Cleaners robbery case. The suspect, six feet tall and 160 pounds with blue eyes, faces a charge to be filed Tuesday. Victim Mrs Glenda Kay White identified him in a police lineup after the Saturday holdup which netted 189 dollars in cash. Police note the suspect’s description closely matched the victim s account. Several other March robberies remain unsolved and total losses for the year approach 2900 dollars.
