Special Venire For Trials Ordered In Double Murder Case
A special venire of 150 men is ordered to report at 10 a.m. Monday before Judge G V Pardue for murder trials of George Brown 54 and Brewster E Dillard 36. Brown faces gun slaying of Willie Byrd on Nov 11 and Dillard faces aun slaying of Garlon Douglas on Nov 1. WES Howard and Victor H Lindsey will assist District Attorney Lloyd Croslin and E G Pharr as special prosecutors in the Dillard case. Dillard’s defense firms are Burks and McNeil and Vickers and Vie4wn Campbell and Adams and Denton and Salyars. A civil petit jury will report at 1:30 p.m. Monday before Judge Dan Blair.
