Lubbock Lake Site A Key 15 000 Year Record

Dr. W. C. Holden, Texas Tech emeritus, cites Lubbock Lake Site as the only American record spanning from ancient man to white settlement. He notes the Clovis site near Po Tales, N.M., is nearly destroyed by excavation. Holden envisions a park drawing 200 000 yearly visitors, boosting local tourism and linking the lake site, The Museum, and Ranch Headquarters to national interest.
