Four youths riding two motorcycles were injured about 11:30 last night when they collided with a light coach on Broadway at Ave Q. Eugene Shuey 16 Abernathy and Lester Brown 17 both passengers had minor injuries. They were treated at Lubbock Memorial hospital. The coach driver Henry Rogers 36 negro and the three vehicles were removed by wrecker. Officers Blakney and Smith investigated.

Eight year old Tommie Bandy died from electrocution while in the bath at the rear of Bandy's Rushing Drug in Lubbock. An extension cord with a light bulb likely electrified the water. he was found by Mrs. Bland Weaver and rushed to Lubbock Memorial Hospital where he died.
