Severe weather hits South Plains with heavy rain and flooding
Thunderstorms moved through Saturday night into Sunday bringing all day rain across the South Plains region. Lubbock reported 1.60 inches at the airport with higher amounts in parts of the city. Temperatures in Lubbock ranged 59 to 63 degrees Sunday with high humidity above 95 percent. Flooded roads hampered travel on FM 197 west of Anton and FM 168 east of Anton.

New Pastor Appointed at First Baptist Church
The First Baptist Church in Haltom City Fort Worth suburb elected Rev David Ray as pastor.
