AUSTIN June 23 Governor Cane Stevenson vetoed bills raising district attorney salaries by 1000 dollars yearly and allowing public school transport for compensation. He criticized the school bill as violating separation of church and state while noting its aims. Bills approved total 28 million dollars in new appropriations for the next biennium and vocational education funding.

First Lt. Janes D. Cage of Carthedge Texas was among four fliers killed when a B-34 bomber crashed at Lowry field in Denver Colorado. Four fliers had minor injuries and six others escaped unhurt. Charles H Williams of Stephenville Texas was another listed victim.
