Firm Seeks Trial Change in Life Insurance Dispute
Insurance Company of North America under Travelers Motor Club Group seeks to move a civil dispute over a $7,500 life insurance claim and $3,150 in attorney fees from Lamb County District Court to U S District Court. Mrs Pauline McCall of Bailey County alleges the firm refused payment to her as beneficiary after the death of Rufus R. McCall on Feb 10.

Youth Charged With Burglary In Lubbock
A Lubbock youth aged about 19 remained jailed in county custody on a burglary charge after a $5,000 bond was set by Justice of the Peace Wayne LeCroy. Miller allegedly tried to sell stolen items including a grinder to a local repairman, with additional thefts of sanding machines power saws an adding machine and welding equipment noted.
