Dr J T Hutchinson Lubbock Pioneer Dies At 76
Dr J T Hutchinson a longtime Lubbock physician and city leader died at Methodist Hospital at 76 after a heart ailment. A founder of Lubbock Sanitarium he served 35 years on the school board including 33 as chairman and left a large downtown property footprint. Funeral at First Methodist Church with burial in Resthaven Mausoleum. He came to Lubbock in 1909 and served in WWI. Survivors include his wife two sons a daughter sisters and eight grandchildren.
