Pathet Lao guards at U S official's home in Laos
In Vientiane three Pathet Lao soldiers stood guard at U S Charge d'Affaires Christian Chapman's residence. The Foreign Ministry demanded removal. Across the region Pathet Lao forces seized Tha Deua crossing and denounced exiled rightist generals. The U S embassy reported most AID local staff had been paid.
