Court vetoes art gift to college

A New York court ruled the alleged 27 million art gift to a college from Mrs. Geraldine Dodge was invalid. It found the guardian and trustees used manipulation and misreadings of her age and fitness, and that the letter claiming transfer did not convey clear title to the art collection. The decision scrutinized collusion between college officials and donor guardians, noting the extensive donations and the college board’s private communications.
