Restoration Award Highlights Texas House’s History
Windsor of Tyler and Mrs. Windsor cherish the Sarah House, keeping it from ruin. The 1854 Hambrick Reese House, once a 3,000 acre farm HQ, now preserves a legacy amid a reduced 500 acre landscape and ongoing restoration project begun after its 1952 purchase. Mrs. Windsor received the first Texas Restoration Award on June 20, 1966, from Mrs. John Connally.
