Plains Farming Bills Reported On Farm Labor
Senator Harrison Williams of New Jersey pushes two farm labor bills, one targeting minimum wages and the other collective bargaining. Plains Cotton Growers says the first bill would require higher wage floors for farmers using many workers, while the second would extend National Labor Relations Act protections to agriculture with union recognition and bargaining, a move Farm groups say would disrupt farming and harvests.
