A closed pouch mail service linked Lubbock and Clovis will start that morning improving local convenience until full mail car and clerk service begins later this fall.
A new postal ruling takes effect Wednesday allowing cashing of money orders at any United States post office within 30 days of issuance. This eases the process by removing the need to present at a specific office for payment.
Milton Robinson sold his ranch in the northwest Yoakum County to Nick Beal of Lubbock County through Robinson Broz. of Lubbock. Beal plans to stock the ranch with cattle and appoint his son in charge. Local friends hope Robinson stays in the area.
