New Director Dr Green Appointed At West Texas Museum
Dr Francis Earl Green, a Slaton native and Tech archaeologist, will become director of the West Texas Museum at Texas Tech on Sept 1. He succeeds Dr W C Holden who resigns Aug 31 to teach and research on Tech history. Green, 40, also directs an archaeological salvage project with the National Park Service near Sanford Reservoir and specializes in artifacts from the prehistoric elephant hunters about 11 000 to 12 000 years ago. He holds three Tech degrees and did post doctoral work at Columbia University.
