Burns Prove Fatal To Shipyard Worker
Oscar J. McClain Jr., 27, died in Orange hospital from burns suffered in an explosion at Consolidated Steel shipyards that injured four others. Granville Bunte, 22, remained hospitalized with severe facial burns. three others were treated and released. The blast, likely caused by accumulated gas, occurred in a shiphold. McClain’s home was Browndale, Texas.
