FBI Foils Hijack Attempt at New York Airports
A hijacker identified as Richard Obergfell seized a TWA flight from LaGuardia to Kennedy, then drove a hijacked truck to JFK. After negotiations, an FBI marksman shot him at Kennedy, ending the drama as 55 passengers were released unharmed. The hijacker died at a Jamaica, Queens hospital.

Jetliner Catches Fire On Runway At O'Hare
