A Bureau of Advertising study reports newspapers remain the preferred source for detailed stories and trustworthy advertising. In a 2023 sample of 2023 adults 18 plus, 50 percent named newspapers for story details, 46 percent named television, rising to 56 percent among high school graduates and 55 percent among incomes above $10,000, with 34 percent citing newspapers for advertising facts and 9 percent television.
