Tulia Boy Killed In Auto Mishap
A car skidded on wet pavement on U.S. 87 seven miles north of Plainview injuring another youth. Jonnie Mahanes 18 of Tulia died on arrival at Plainview Hospital about 2 50 p.m. Larry Weldon Dubois 19 of Tulia survived in fair condition with multiple injuries. Highway Patrolman Wes Hardich said Dubois apparently lost control.
