Crash Kills Driver on South University Drive
A 70 year old man, G. F. Stewart of Route 4 Lubbock, was killed Thursday when his car ran off South University Drive, struck a utility pole, and overturned about 75 yards from a raised driveway. He was pronounced dead at the scene by Justice of the Peace Wayne LeCroy. Survivors include his wife Ocie, a daughter, five brothers, a sister, and two grandchildren. Services pending at Sanders Funeral Home.
