Dean Testimony Disputed By Counsel In Watergate Probe

Getty Hunt Expands Search for Getty III in Rome

Police questioned dozens of youths and launched a nationwide Italy-wide search for J Paul Getty III. The missing 16 year old, last seen at a discotheque with a French girl, was reported to have told friends he planned to spend Tuesday in Gaeta. Getty’s mother Gail Harris said she last saw him July 4 and that a kidnap note demanding ransom was telephoned to London. President Nixon Hospitalized for Pneumonia in 1970s

President Nixon remains hospitalized at Bethesda Naval Medical Center with pneumonia and chest congestion. Doctors report he is resting with some discomfort but able to work lightly and receive oxygen therapy and inhalation treatments while continuing to monitor fever and mucus drainage. Visitors are kept to a minimum as officials say the president will reduce his schedule.

A cold front and moist southerly flow from the Gulf produced thunderstorms across the South Plains and Texas Panhandle. Heaviest rain north of Lubbock near Wolfforth with hail and up to three inches. Cars stalled in Lubbock and airport rain totals around .26 inch. Forecast calls for additional showers tonight with cooler July records noted at 80 degrees.
