Texas Crude Oil Co. has plugged and abandoned last scheduled No. 1 E. A. Hawkins/April, as a 10,500-foot Strawn wildcat, eight miles northeast of Ropesville in southeast Hockley County.
The chart notes a 6,540-foot Strawn wildcat southwest of production area with detailed survey lines in Jones and King counties. It also reports a King County gauged project in the Valley View field that produced 50.3 barrels of 35.4 gravity oil in 24 hours, plus a Reutinger field producer and Yoakum County tests near Plains and Denver City. Additional items include a Gulf Oil completion in Ward County and a Glasscock County probe set near Garden City, with an Ellenburger drill planned near Odessa. The report closes with a Trion explosion toll in Bitterfeld, East Germany.
