Boy Seized By Magazine Salesmen In Fiery Dover Home

Cotton crop prospects brighten despite reduced plantings
May and June drought trimmed South Plains cotton plantings by about 250000 acres. Ropes Youth Dennis F Jones Dies in City Crash
A 15 year old Ropesville resident Dennis F Jones died from injuries suffered in a late Friday night auto crash in Lubbock. The 50th traffic fatality of 1930 and seventh within city limits this year, the youth was the son of Mr and Mrs W W Jones. The collision occurred near Thitt Fourth and Ave Q about 11 50 p m. Two others were injured Melvin Ray Henderson 20 Slaton route 1 and W H Williams 19 of Ropesville. Williams was admitted to hospital Henderson examined and Williams described in fair condition. Billy O Neal 15 of Ropesville drove the other car and escaped injury. Summons to each driver to appear.
