Pleasure Trip Ends Tragically For Seagraves Lovington Men
Two longtime friends Richard V. Polyak and Oglesby died when their two passenger plane crashed after takeoff from a pasture north of Hobbs. Fire consumed the aircraft while witnesses reported a brief lift before the wing dipped and the craft struck the earth. Polyak, 57, was the pilot. Oglesby, 37, a former Seagraves cafe owner and Lovington oil field worker, were killed in the Lovington area. Funeral arrangements are pending with Griffin Funeral Home in Seagraves.

Man Found Hanged in Lubbock County Jail
Albert Leon Schroeder 21 of Hereford was found dead at 10 45 p m Saturday hanging in his jail cell after being jailed 30 minutes for no muffler on his car.
