Knife wielding father threatens infant in abortive hijack
In Buffalo a man identified as Charles Smith, 23, seized his infant daughter aboard an empty American Airlines 707 at Buffalo airport after stabbing his estranged wife and another man. He demanded to be flown out of the country, threatening the child with a knife. FBI agents coaxed him to surrender after hours. the daughter was unharmed aside from a minor facial injury.
