Fragmentary report shows temperatures near 92 degrees at key Texas towns with a hot point around 102 at Cotulla, Laredo and Beeville. Forecast suggests mid 20s for the area and potential afternoon and tonight thunderstorms in parts of the South Plains.
A Houston news conference announced that the Eagle lunar module and the Columbia command ship are selected for Apollo 11.
