A Lubboock native Navy hospitalman third class Ned Creed died June 25 during a lifesaving mission in Viet Nam. His father Mark Creed recalls a boy who loved football and ski trips, plans for his future, and a strong stance on the war. Creed’s body will be buried in Lubboock. he had previously lived in Dallas and Arlington, and served in Japan and El Toro.
