Fivealarm Blaze Destroys Dallas Box Factory
A $50,000 five alarm fire gutted the Camacho Box Factory southeast of downtown Dallas Monday night. Fire officials said the damage estimate was $50,000 and the firefighting effort could take all night. About 200 off duty firemen assisted a crew of over 100 firefighters with more than 30 apparatus at the scene.

Wide rainfalls bring near normal June to Texas and nation
Loud bursts of rain spread across the Midwest and South Plains on Monday as June moisture reached near normal levels in many areas. Amarillo tallied 10.16 inches, its wettest June in history, while Fort Worth and other Texas cities saw above normal rainfall. some locations such as El Paso reported no rain. Tractors returned to fields for cultivation and weed control as the respite allowed fieldwork to resume.
