Triple Slayer Alfred Wilson Dies After Manhunt
Alfred Wilson the 37 year old truck driver and target of a 12 day manhunt for the slaying of three women died after being shot from a tree by a state highway patrolman. He died in St Josephs Hospital Warren Ohio. Wilson was cornered in a woods behind a relative's house and reached for his pistol when officers fired. Relatives said Wilson intended to force James Lawson to drive to Warren to confront his estranged wife Juanita.

Reese AFB Sergeant Found Shot to Death
M/Set. John L. Gillette aged 47 from Youngstown New York was found dead at Reese Village with a gunshot wound to the right temple. Investigators including Lib bock Justice of the Peace G W MacCleskey and Reese AFB officials described the death as a single gunshot incident and said he was pronounced dead at RAPB hospital. Gillette, born February 20 1909 in Canada, had been stationed at RAFB for several years.

12 Persons Stranded as Canyon Winds Halt Recovery

Shine Philips In Serious Condition After Stroke
Druggist Shine Philips of Big Spring, a noted author and philosopher, is in serious condition following a stroke suffered early last week. A longtime member and former president of state and West Texas druggists associations, he authored Big Spring a Casual Biography of a Prairie Town, first published in 1942.

Lorenzo Man Crushed By Falling Tank
Lorenzo gas deliveryman Gordon Anderson, 52, died when a 2300 gallon gasoline tank toppled onto him at a farm near Carlisle. The tank contained 250 to 300 gallons and fell as he tried to jack up the tank's support under soft ground. Raynes and neighbors attempted to help but could not lift the tank. Anderson died instantly.

Nine Injured In Atom Lab Blast
A double explosion at a secret atomic laboratory in New York injured nine employees including a woman. Three hundred workers were checked for radioactive contamination while officials said there was no outside radiation threat.
