Lt. Charles Georg of Seminole recalls the improvised repair of a damaged jeep on the beachhead in France. He used a gasoline can to power the carburetor and a hose from a tire pump to start the engine. A live bazooka shell hung under the twisted frame as the group rode to safety. The jeep, nicknamed Flak Happy, was evacuated to beach control.
