Saboteurs Cut Off Gas in Alpena Michigan

In Alpena Michigan about 2000 gas customers lost gas for hours after intruder climbed a fence at a pumping station and shut off the main valve. Michigan Consolidated Gas said crews from northern lower Michigan restored service and relit pilots. No motive found.

Officers Kicked At Site Of Riot In Los Angeles

Two sheriff's deputies report about 20 Negroes attacked them as they tried to quell a riot area fight in August.
