Deputies report a man working nationwide scheme cashed 730.60 at Lubbock National Bank using 20 checks made out to a grocery firm with altered Safeway Stores endorsements. The man, in a late model car, posed as a food store representative and demanded cash at the drive in window. Undercover officers investigated after the week earlier incident.
