A Soviet trawler Sealand sank after hitting a reef in icy conditions off Sealand. Two Hurt In Wreck Here In Lubbock Youths Injured

Two Lubbock youths were injured in a two car collision about 8 10 am today at the Brownfield Levelland line. Leonard McClosky 19 1607 Zenith Ave and Gary Richard Stephen 19 M15 26th St were taken to Methodist Hospital by a Rix Funeral Home ambulance and later to other hospitals. McClosky suffered a fractured left arm and facial lacerations while Stephen had possible heat injury and leg lacerations. Stephen was driver of one car in collision with Mrs Oneta Jones Sedgwick 41 Rt 3 Brownfield. Icy street conditions blamed for the crash and three other late Thursday mishaps with two more injuries.

Driver Daggar Charged After Beating Boy

Police took Cleao Mansa Daggar to the station after the incident in which he allegedly assaulted his stepson. He was charged with assault and battery and driving while intoxicated. Eddie Eugene and Monsa Lee Dugger were taken to Lea General Hospital with bruises. the mother, a waitress, was removed from her job and later released to care for the baby.
