Washington UPI reports the Selective Service will hold its annual lottery February 2 1974 to assign birth dates for potential induction. Few men turning 19 may be drafted as calls decline and the sequence determines who goes first. Defense Secretary Laird says there may be no draft calls in January and likely none in February or March. Draft calls for the year are expected to be far below 98 000 in 1971 and well under 163 570 the year prior.
