Balloonist Barbara Keith Found After Channel Race

The body of Barbara Keith, 42, of Hartford Connecticut and grandmother of ten, was recovered five miles north of Dana Point California after a balloon race from Santa Catalina Island. Her deflated balloon and gear were found by a Coast Guard cutter following a report from pilot Hamlin. Keith was one of eight balloonists in the cross channel event.

Temporary injunction denial delays Lubbock school bids
